While the positive effects of OTT/multiband compression are widely covered, the downsides of this form of compression aren't discussed enough. OTT, like every other effect, isn't a magic solution and can even make things worse in certain situations. This is an Ableton hard techno tutorial, but you can replicate this in any other DAW.
