Random Acts has partnered with Sadler’s Wells to present original films from three distinctive artists, to coincide with their new commissions for the Reckonings stage production. Reflecting a variety of dance styles from post-modern dance to contemporary African and hip-hop theatre, the films are informed by themes such as race representation, gender and identity.
Aneil Karia directed commercials and music videos before making his three short films including BEAT - which screened at over 50 festivals worldwide - and WORK (nominated for the BIFA and BAFTA 2018).
Alesandra Seutin’s compelling and outspoken style of dance theatre fuses urban dance languages with African styles to explore contemporary issues. Her work has been performed across the UK and internationally at major venues such as Sadler’s Wells and The Place.
