A pre-Christmas Mexican vacation for Calgary couple Christine and Glenn Boyd ended in tragedy, when Glenn drowned during a scuba diving excursion. In the three weeks since, the Boyd family has faced roadblocks at every turn in repatriating their patriarch's remains: from Westjet and Expedia refusing to help without documents Mexican officials have been slow to hand over, to mounting bills as Christine waits in Mexico for the local funeral home to hand over her late husband's ashes and death certificate.
In the meantime, generous Albertans have stepped up to aid the family, donating to a GoFundMe so the family can bring Glenn home and give him a final farewell. Meghan Cobb explains.
