The Smoke is a band from Auckland New Zealand formed in 1966, they made an important progress on the New Zealand pop scene, playing at every night club and dance hall in the Auckland area, and obtaining a contract with RCA Victor recording company.
The Smoke released the single "No More Now" in 1967, their disc "Never Trust Another Woman" made the New Zealand top 20 and it was followed by their entry in the 1968 Golden Disc Award Contest "Control Your Love". Other successful song the band wrote is "Something Following Me".They disbanded in 1969.
