The superiority complex of the West has made it believe that it owns Africa. And, as such, it believes that African countries should follow its lead and decisions on every global issue. Now, some African leaders do not mind following the dictates of the West. However, there are others such as President Traore, who do not care one bit about the demands of the West. From the beginning, Traore has proven that he intends to lead his country on a path different from the one determined by the West. This is why recently, he defied Western demands and accepted military troops from Cuba and Venezuela, two countries that are at odds with the West. But why did Traore make this decision and what was the reaction of the West? Let's find out.

As we said at the beginning of this video, the West has always believed that African countries should not have a mind of their own. Actually, the correct thing to say is that the West thinks Africans cannot think for themselves and this can be traced far back to the 19th century during the slave trade era. During this period, an American physician claimed that any African slave who wanted to be free was suffering from a mental illness known as “Drapetomania”. Shocking right? But what's even more shocking is that the West believed this man and Drapetomania became a popular notion to describe any African slave who ran away from his master. This is crazy. These people actually believe that the natural position of any African is to be a slave, so the idea that any African desires freedom has to be a sickness. It didn't end here though. During the 1930s, Africans in the US were regarded as three-fifths of a human being. In fact, in some parts of Africa, like South Africa, Africans were considered as flora and fauna.
