The Senate Environment & Public Works Committee held a hearing on “The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Proposed Fiscal Year 2024 Budget”, with the five NRC Commissioners on April 19, 2023.Chairman Carper stated that fusion regulation provides a path forward for fusion technology and gives developers the regulatory certainty they need to innovate while also protecting safety, security, and public health.
