VMP(Valentine Music Productions) was a Brooklyn based label owned and operated by Lee Valentine that operated in the 1970's on a shoestring budget. The biggest name on the roster was The Joneses who released several recordings from 1970 through 1973 before they moved onto the Mercury Records label in 1974. The Friendly People, released two 45's on VMP including this 1970 release titled, Mr.Moonlight. The song was written by Leroy Swearingen.
