In this week's edition of the Red Pill DJ Skee touches upon the epidemic of homelessness in Los Angeles. As mayor Garcetti recently announced, the state of homelessness in our city is "a state of emergency". The homeless population in Los Angeles reflects a larger issue that is plaguing our country which is the divide between the rich and the poor. DJ Skee talks about how he was born in the middle class, where opportunities and a comfortable life still seemed obtainable. In the generation today, everything has become unbalanced. Especially in the Los Angeles area, where the average rent costs an astounding rate of 3300 dollars. The wealthy only stand to profit in this situation by owning and purchasing more property to rent out to those who cant afford to buy. There is no quick solution to the problem of the shrinking middle class in our country. But by taking the initiative to acknowledge and look for solutions regarding these issues, we can only stand to help to sustain and grow a healthy economy for our future.
