Mussette in D Major is a great piece for learning pianists between level 2-4 (depending on the method used). By the American system, this piece would work well for a level 3 or 4 student. Many parts of the piece do stay within a the D 5 finger scale, but there are quick 16th notes that need to be played clearly and precisely. The middle section of the piece is also challenging because it moves outside of the D 5 finger scale and adds in more accidentals. The 8th notes still feel very quick at the given tempo. Once learned, this is a very exciting piece to play and perform!

Mussette in D Major Anh. 126. This is a piece from the Notebook of Anna Magdalena Bach, often attributed to JS BACH. Many of the pieces in the Notebook of Anna Magdalena Bach, although often attributed to JS Bach, are now considered to be composed by Cristian Petzold and other composers. It is now often said that JS Bach put together a collection of pieces by other composers, instead of that he composed it himself.
