Five Nights at Freddy's is a 2014 survival horror game developed by Scott Cawthon. The game is about a night security guard at a family pizzeria who must avoid homicidal animatronic characters. The game is part of a series of psychological horror games where the player is usually a night employee at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The restaurant has life-size animatronic characters that perform for children's parties, but leave their posts at night.
