CORDOBA TRAVEL GUIDE | 15 Things TO DO in Cordoba, Argentina ☀️🇦🇷

🌟 3 Days in Córdoba, Argentina • Your Ultimate Travel Guide

Discover Córdoba — Argentina’s second-largest city and gateway to the sierras. Whether you’re a history buff, an architecture lover or just looking for vibrant cafés and plazas, Córdoba delivers. Here’s exactly what you can do in three days, in the order we experienced it:

Welcome to Córdoba!

Introduction to Córdoba as an ideal central hub, off the beaten path yet perfectly positioned for exploring Argentina.

Jesuit Quarter Beginnings

Wander the historic Jesuit Corridor, where the Jesuits arrived circa 1599 and left a legacy of churches and colleges.

Córdoba Cathedral

Step inside Argentina’s oldest continually operating church, with soaring barrel-vault ceilings, gilded Baroque altars and Neoclassical touches.

National University of Córdoba

Stumble upon the university (founded 1613) — the oldest in the country. Admire its pastel-coloured cloisters, elegant arches and palm-shaded courtyards.

Law Faculty Marvel

Peek into the majestic Faculty of Law, a showcase of Spanish colonial architecture and serene inner salons.

Café Hopping in the Shade

Recharge at a hidden courtyard café with icy lemonade — a lifesaver on humid Córdoba afternoons.

Patio Olmos Shopping Gallery

Escape the heat at this 1909 former boys’ school turned upscale mall. Air-conditioning, boutiques, themed kids’ games and a cinema make it more than your average mall.

Plaza San Martín

Relax in the leafy city square honouring General San Martín, Argentina’s liberator. Feed pigeons, enjoy shaded benches and soak up local life.

Stroll Along La Cañita

Follow the tree-lined La Cañita creek path — a tranquil green ribbon weaving through the old town.

Boutique Hotel

Stay in a 1670 vice-royal mansion turned boutique hotel. Guided tours reveal Jesuit crypts, antique art collections and colonial living rooms.

Antique-Filled Breakfast

Start your day with media lunas and fine porcelain in Virreynato’s antique-laden dining hall.

Jesuit Crypt Discovery

Venture underground to the recently unearthed Jesuit crypt & crematorium — beautifully preserved arches hidden for centuries.

Córdoba Food Highlights

Locro: Hearty pumpkin-bean stew with tender meats.

Lentejas: Rustic lentil stew in a clay pot.

Lomito Sandwich: Monster steak sandwich loaded with egg, ham & cheese.

Museo del Cabildo & Religious Art

Enjoy a 40-minute guided tour of the colonial town hall.

Paseo del Buen Pastor

Explore this cultural hub: art exhibitions in a converted chapel, live music and open-air fountains by night.

Neo-Gothic Capuchin Church

Admire the ornate façade and spires of Córdoba’s Gothic-Revival Capuchin church.

Parque Sarmiento & Bicentennial Park

Roam the city’s “green lungs.” Spot the 200-ring Bicentennial Sculpture marking years since the 1810 revolution, plus the soaring Bicentennial Lighthouse.

Córdoba Cultural Centre

Drop into the provincial archives and exhibition halls at the lighthouse base — a creative oasis in the park.
