My name is Crystalline. I was the only member of my tribe to be spared when it happened. The forest that gave home to my kin froze over in an instant and I was left unscathed, and alone. People from the outside claim they can't go near the outer rim of the forest without feeling a deathly drop in temperature. For me, it simply feels like those crisp winter mornings, waking to see a snow crusted tree line dancing above our settlement.
