The best song to date on my protege, Tahira Jumah, and her next 45 on the Blueberry label. Tahira is my special protege and has recorded over twenty songs for us so far, and this latest, "Love Is Overrated" is one of the finest Northern Soul songs I have ever been proud to create which featured on the album "Northern Soul 2010". Tahira's music as well also featured being on the "Running In Another Direction" three disc set, which was released on June 8th 2009. The fabulous three disc set, "Running In Another Direction", covering Northern Soul and Modern Room classics from 1975 to 2009. 34 years of amazing soul classics. The official follow up album to "Reaching For The Very Best". A total of 72 amazing floorfillers - ALL FOR LESS THAN FIFTEEN POUNDS. That's twenty pence per song. As the legendary Blackpool Mecca building gets pulled down, this triple box set shows that they can pull down the building but they can never take away our music. This album was truly my Greatest Soul Hits, from 1975 right up to date in 2009. And many classics were either beefed up or totally remixed. Since meeting this wonderful and loyal lady, she became my number one protege, Tahira Jumah, the fabulous diva who is my Evelyn Thomas for the new millenium. When I first met her, when she came to the studio with Fay Jones, they were both friends of Angelo Starr, and he brought them along to meet me. I decided to pair them up to make a song which I wrote with Angelo, "It's An Ill Wind". They had never met each other before that day. But as I got to know Tahira, I realised she had all the attributes of a real Ian Levine long term star, which is why she then sang my very first song ever, "Reaching For The Best", for my classics revisited album, "Yesterday And Tomorrow". We then did "I'm In Wonderland" with as a duet with Fay Jones, followed by "World Of Your Own", "Mister Right", "What", and the duet with Jay Harvey. And Tahira is FABULOUS. I just want the privilege of introducing her to the world. She and I co-wrote this fabulous smooth uplifting future soul classic with my long time producing partner Glenn Keiles.
