Bristol's Reggae Sound System Veterans - Part 6 : Jah Lokko - with Arthur, Big D, Snoopy, & Junior Ash......
Wicked in - depth interview with Arthur, Big D, Snoopy, & Junior Ash about the history of Jah Lokko Sound System with it's beginnings in Bristol between 1977/1978. We follow it's journey from the 1970's to 1989 - where Jah Lokko split into two sound systems in the dubplate special era to form 'Unique Star'. Unique Star started cutting a vast catalogue of dubplate specials and catered for fans of sound clashes - whilst Jah Lokko carried on playing in the Roots Reggae & Dub circuit. We then move from the 1990's to the present day - where both Jah Lokko Sound & Unique Star are still playing in sound system dances today....
At the end of the video is a rare vintage live recording of the clash between Jah Lokko vs Viking Sound - held in Bristol in 1985....
