Diving into the legendary groove of Lacquer Head by Primus! This bass cover highlights the distinct style of Les Claypool and the gritty, driving bassline that makes this song an absolute classic for bass players. The track is packed with energy and intensity, so I wanted to capture that raw power and groove that makes Primus unique.

For this cover, I’m playing my Yamaha RBX170 bass guitar, recorded through a Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface for clean, detailed sound. To monitor the track, I used JOYO JMH-02 headphones, and everything was recorded and mixed in Garageband on a MacBook Pro.
