This episode features a spontaneous jam on a song written by Cian Finn, called “Love Life”. Focusing on bringing out a positive message in today’s world when everything seems to be focussed on the exact opposite, this episode brings together the lyrical prowess of Mumbai based ethical rappers “Swadesi” who rap in Hindi and Sanskrit, together with Cian Finn’s song-writing and soothing voice, and LMK’s sweet and melodic vocal textures.

Swadesi is a group of young Emcess producers, DJs and graffiti artists that aim to bring about a change through their art and music. Swadesi features rappers who rap in different Indian languages. The group takes its name after the anti-colonial movement of the nation against British rule and oppression.

They believe that the future of our country lies in the hands of the youth empowered with the idea of 'Swadesi' i.e. Embracing all things Indian. And their creations reflect this school of thought.

Hailing from the west of Ireland, Cian Finn is a producer & vocalist inspired by the sounds of soul, blues and reggae.

Currently working with some of the most respected acts in contemporary dub music, Cian has performed live with Mad Professor, Zion Train, Iration Steppas, Mungo’s Hi-Fi, Dubwise, Cornerstone Roots, Dubkasm, and Radikal Guru. His vocal tracks have been remixed by Manasseh, RSD, Phaeleh, and Indigo.

Born in a family of musicians, music runs through the veins of LMK – a contraction in 3 letters of her name Lamarca – from a very young age. After 12 years of conservatory at the service of the harp, she discovered a new instrument: her voice. It turned out to be the French songstress’ most powerful weapon. With her true passion being reggae and hip-hop, LMK has developed an urban style full of fresh tinged jazz & soul notes.
