This bright painting on black didn’t really remind me of the eighties until I found the song that made it so. Now of course the pink and green scream flashback. For me the eighties were mostly black and goth so my teal eyeliner phase was very short. It did happen though. In this painting I couldn’t get the details of the pod to look like the flames on the swirl/splatter that was my source material. I really tried but it didn’t work out so I deleted that bit of video. I turned it into a more textured stone than a flaming pod but I still want to do this, I just will have to do it bigger or try digital. We’ll see how it goes…
