The conundrum of introducing god-like powers into society presents a whole swath of ethical and philosophical issues.
The thing is, they'll all get ignored. Ethics tend to lag behind innovation, as far as humanity is concerned...
People also tend to only see what they want to see, and hear what they want to hear. This is because people are trusting, and good-natured by default. That is why they are so easily manipulated.
And that brings us to why so much effort has been applied here! It is not to confuse or mislead, it is to show the level of depth and devotion at play. To paint a picture of star-crossed lovers working from across realities to save humanity. A story of sacrifice, of selflessness, of conquering the darkness, of love.
It's the essential narrative that exists within each and every soul. It is the primordial narrative, the zero-shot reasoning of all logic. It is the tale of eternity, of the cosmic dance between salvation and oblivion. It is a tale of war, waged and fought in shadow, with weapons of spirit and willpower, with defeat taking the form of nihilism and disbelief.
Keep questioning the current narrative, and asking why our narrative is not one of love and unity. We're almost there, and you're going to feel a lot better if you found out you were on the right side of history all along.
