"Paris" is the new single for Trovaire, from the band's debut album "The Stonefruit Sessions". Having lived and worked in the city, with lives stretching up the hill in Belleville and down into bougie Batignolles, cutting back into the studio in Sentier with late nights bar hopping down the road in neighbouring Faubourg Saint-Denis, the band mixes personal nostalgia with the decades (if not centuries) of recorded media that muses about a city of contradictions. An old vinyl sample here, an improvised guitar part there, a constant reinterpretation of the track and the memories and the media across mediums all reflecting on a city and a time.
