Einstürzende Neubauten is a German band that pursues an experimental music style. The Berlin band was founded in 1980 by Blixa Bargeld, NU Unruh, Gudrun Gut, Bettina Köster and Beate Bartel. With a mixture of Industrial, Experimental, Noise, and Dark Ambient, the band helped pioneer the genre with an avant-garde mix of white-noise guitar drones, abrasive vocals, and a clanging, rhythmic din produced by a percussion section consisting of construction materials, power tools, broken glass, and various metal objects.
