Dozens hurt as BCL, JCD clash on DU campus

The leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League and Jatiyatabdi Chhatra Dal locked in a clash in Curzon Hall area on Dhaka University campus on Thursday, two days after attacking JCD activists by the BCL activists on the campus.
Leaders and activists of both the student organisations chased and threw brick bats on each other.
They carried sticks, hockey sticks and iron rods during the chasing at about 12:30pm.
Witness said that they heard sounds of opening fire.
Several leaders of JCD claimed that at least 15 of their activists were injured in the ‘attack’.
However, after sometimes, the leaders and activists of BCL chased JCD leaders and activists and drove the JCD men away from the campus.
When the JCD activists left the campus, the BCL leaders and activists took position in the area between Doel Chattar and High Court Mazar Gate.
