✑ There was an old legend about a dark forest where magical creatures still lived. The stories talked about nymphs, dryads, and others peacefully living in the shadow of the ancient trees, hidden from the greedy kingdoms of men. In the middle of the forest there stood an old olive tree, home to the smallest of them all - fairies.

An idea of a tree as a house was first presented to me by Enid Blyton in her book The Enchanted Wood when I read it as a child. I dreamed for years about living inside of a giant tree. It is definitely in the top 5 fantasy places I would love to live - with Hobbiton and Hogwarts being somewhere at the top, of course 😊. It just sounds so warm and cozy.
