The Ukrainian military attacked Rylsk on the afternoon of December 20. The Investigative Committee stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants purposefully attacked civilian facilities in the city. The attack was allegedly carried out from the HIMARS MLRS.Alexander Khinshtein, the acting governor of the Kursk region, said that six people, including a child, were killed as a result of the shelling. Another 10 residents were hospitalized.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Russian representatives would raise the issue of missile strikes on Rylsk at a meeting of the UN Security Council.
