The Police es una banda británica de New Wave formada en 1977 por Sting (Bajo y Voz), Andy Summers (Guitarra) y Stewart Copeland (Bateria). Su sonido nace de la llamada New Wave de finales de la década de los 70 caracterizados por mezclar Punk con Reggae, algo de Pop y Jazz, fueron muy influyentes en muchas bandas de diversos géneros, y gozaron de éxito mundial aunque su carrera fue muy corta, ya que después de su quinto álbum Synchronicity de 1983 se separarían para tomar distintos rumbos, siendo Sting el que alcanzaría mayor gloria.He aquí un Top con mis 20 favoritas...
