His family was extremely poor but he loved to draw. Since his family couldn't afford to send him to art school, he thought that was it until a kind teacher took pity on him and cultivated his talent.
He was able to get into a good art school and escape poverty. Grateful, he wanted to do the same. With the money he earns he ended up helping to raise 20,000 kids whose family may not have the means to pay for art school.
But it's more than arts that he's offering. He buys them backpacks, things they need. Let's them stay overnight if they need to even grow his own vegetables to make food for them. His family is supportive especially his wife who wants him to continue.
When kids come back to thank them and tell them who they become, be it police officer, teacher, lawyer, doctor, they are extremely moved and happy for them. It makes all their sacrifices worth it. And it all started from one act of kindness 2 decades ago.
