It's been a long time since pearl came out with a 100% all new drumset, but it's finally here. There are two versions, the Pearl E/Merge E/Traditional, and the Pearl E/Merge E/Hybrid.

Snare has two inputs. With two rim triggers. I believe it somehow blends acoustic your stick attack. They try to be very mysterious about it.
Most of the kinks have been worked out from the prototype I played now that this is the finished version. The korg tech integration is cool and everything, but isn’t quite as incredible as they lead you to believe. Whole drumset feels great. Many usable kits, sounds good live too, not recording quality though. I don’t like how locked off the whole kit is. You have to expand with pearl pads. They have the one of the best modules in the world, the Mimic, but they didn’t utilize any of the tech or any of the lessons learned from that product development. But overall I like the drumset. It just FEELS fun to play on for some reason
Pros: good sizes, good feel, good drum rack, sounds are decent to practice too, direct outs, fun to play on.
Cons: 6ply is louder than standard mesh, cable snake, locked down ecosystem, they have one of world's best modules, the mimic, and they decided it wasn’t good enough for this kit.
