As I Lay Dying's demise has taken centre stage again as former guitarist Ken Susi breaks his silence on what really happened with vocalist Tim Lambesis.

Speaking on the BREWtally Speaking Podcast, Susi detailed the shocking moments that unravelled behind the scenes, offering a rare, first-hand glimpse into the meltdown that tore the band apart for a second time.

The chain of events started last year as one by one, every member but Lambesis left the metalcore band, with most citing moral or personal disagreements. Lambesis has stated his ambition to reboot the band, even speaking on a now-unavailable podcast and addressing his mental health. But any sense of clarity was short-lived. From footage of him in emotional distress to disturbing allegations involving both his dog and his now-estranged wife Dany, the situation spiralled fast and publicly.

While Tim seems intent on pushing ahead with As I Lay Dying in 2025, fans may not want it anymore, with over 69,000 signing a petition to demand justice and intensive psychological treatment for the treatment of his dog. Meanwhile, Ken seems ready to close this chapter and focus on what’s next.
