Robert Johnson was a #bluesmusician from Mississippi. He was born into hard time considering his birth date was 1911. He died at age 27 in 1938. being from Mississippi he is one of the earliest to play the #deltablues. The delta blues is simply the blues created in the Mississippi Delta area.

One of the major record labels put together an album of his music and named it King of the Delta Blues.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame says he could possibly be "the first ever rock star"

The legend is he sold his soul to the devil at the crossroads to gain more recognition, learn to play the guitar better and make more money.

As the story goes he was a womanizer and fooled around with other men's ladies. Even the owners wife of the #jukejoint he played at often.

Robert Johnson died of poisoning. Someone gave him some bad whiskey since he liked to drink. It has been said that it could have been a jealous husband of one of the women he was fooling around with. He suffered and was bedridden in severe pain for his last 3 days before dying.
