Autumn has arrived in the French countryside, but I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to the last blooms of summer.
In between our moments in the garden, Jeroen has started crafting beautiful, custom wardrobe doors for our ongoing bedroom renovation.

As part of our renovation, we’re experimenting with homemade lime paint The room is starting to come together, but with Fleur helping out and the lure of a Sunday family movie, we’ll have to continue the transformation later this week. There’s still so much to do, but it’s these little moments that make life here in France so special.

We, Colinda, Jeroen and our 3 children Luca, Fleur, and Jules, have exchanged the Netherlands for the French countryside in August 2022. At that time, we hadn't yet purchased a house, only sold our house in the Netherlands.

In December , we finally bought our dream home, an old farmhouse in the Lot et Garonne, which could use a little love.

And now, we are busy renovating, beautifying the garden, and simply living our daily lives here in the beautiful French countryside. Because this is a very special period in our lives, and we want to show our children (later on) that they should always pursue their dreams, no matter how scary they may seem. We want to document this for the future, as memories tend to fade quickly.

And hopefully, our story will inspire you to pursue your dreams as well because after all, you only live once.
