Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred has drenched south-east Queensland bringing flash flooding to Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Around 200,000 homes across Brisbane, Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast remain without power.

Motorists have been rescued from floodwaters in Logan and the Gold Coast.

Queensland Premier David Crisafulli has pleaded with residents to follow the warnings.
