Jane was among 13 Australian women who'd been hauled off flights in the wealthy Persian Gulf state of Qatar and physically violated by airport authorities. It was disgraceful, completely unnecessary conduct that at the time was condemned around the world. Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Foreign Minister Marise Payne angrily vowed to get an explanation for how and why it happened. But a year on, you guessed it, Jane and the other victims have heard nothing. In fact, the silence is so deafening it's as if they didn't exist and their suffering never happened.
