Taking a look at the FX9 Firmware 2.0 and puppies. This time, with quieter music. The new update features some welcome improvements, but still leaves me wanting more.

A quick addendum to using the touchscreen for autofocus: you can set an assignable button to "Focus Setting" and the focus area will be adjustable via the touch screen. I've set mine to Button 10 since it's located directly on the monitor. You can toggle this setting and freely touch the screen while using camera buttons as normal. Very handy!

UPDATE

It looks like Sony has removed Firmware 2.0 for the time being due to an issue with FF 5Kcrop- when distortion compensation is turned on in this mode, there is sometimes a strange horizontal streak across the image. I actually first noticed this on a shoot last week in a few shots and wasn't sure what was causing it. See the link below for more details.
