Reform Party chairman Zia Yusuf has resigned, stating that helping to get a Reform government elected was no longer “a good use of [his] time.” His shock departure came just hours after Reform MP Sarah Pochin called on Keir Starmer to ban the burka during Prime Minister’s Questions — a move Yusuf publicly criticised.

Despite this chaos unfolding whilst polls were open in the Holyrood by-election in Hamilton, Reform UK still secured third place in the SNP stronghold, with over 26% of the vote.
Camilla Tominey and Gordon Rayner speak to former Conservative blogger-turned-Reform activist Tim Montgomerie, who offers his take on:

Zia Yusuf’s shock resignation
The fallout from the burka controversy
Reform’s future under Nigel Farage
Whether the Hamilton result is cause for optimism

Plus, Camilla Tominey shares why she believes Yusuf has “sold the party down the river.”
