Since the birth of Reggae in the 1960s it has been a music style that stimulates people to dance and move. In the 1970s and 1980s Reggae fused with Disco, Funk, Electronica and Hip-Hop to create a very intriguing period for the genre that was even more dance oriented. Faster tempos, untraditional melodies and heavy use of technology created truly unique songs. Interestingly Reggae moved back toward to it's root sounds and song structures in the 1990s and with only a few exceptions has stayed there. Enjoy these time capsules from a fascinating time in the history of Reggae.
