This is the first time i use the Korg Electribe 2s as a midi sequencer. As a groovebox the E2s it's a little underrated, i personally used it as a drum machine using my sample library or the internal synthetizer in order to synthetize drums sounds (you can use just one oscillator at time but you can layer up to 16 different sounds!). I started to produce music using the legendary Yamaha RM1x and sometimes i missed his powerful sequencing capabilities. The E2s it's another kind of instruments but it allow to sequence 16 tracks with a 4 notes polyphony. For this performance i made all the main drums with the Nord Drum analog modeling drums synthetizer. The main bassline it's made with the pretty vintage Control Synthesis Deep Bass Nine (1994) a sort of TB 303 clone but with his own character. All the pads, keys and additional percussions are made with the E2s internal synthetizer plus some factory samples (the 808 style toms). The Korg Kaossilator it's always useful for additional sound design, risers and transitional fx.
