Shoutout to channel member Jim who asked this!My answer is singles, doubles and paradiddles with an accompanying basic foot pattern. A good way of getting started with this is "boom-chick" with the feet (bass drum then pedalled hi-hat) on eighth notes, then sticks playing sixteenth notes with the three sticking patterns over the top.
Move around the kit, loosen up, and focus on a lovely clean strike, coordination and musical flow.
