History Bulldozed: Bangladesh Tears Down Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's House | Vantage with Palki Sharma | N18G
Bangladeshi protesters have torn down the family house of Bangladesh's founding father, Shiekh Mujibur Rahman. Dhanmondi-32 was where he declared Bangladesh's independence. It was also where he was assassinated 4 years later. Protesters have taken a bulldozer to the place because of their anger against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina addressed her remaining supporters yesterday, encouraging them to protest against the new interim government in Bangladesh. In response, a mob tore down her father's house as she spoke. They erased a part of Bangladesh's history in their anger.
