Mime is used to tell stories in ballet through gestures and facial expressions. We explore using movement to express emotions like love and anger, and to signal actions such as sleeping and dancing. Use these to join in with a short sequence at the end or create your own story through mime! This short workshop for beginners will give you a taster of this dance style.

Nandita is a performing artist, teacher, choreographer and the founder of Welcome Movement®. She trained at the Royal Ballet School and has danced with many world-renowned companies. Nandita guides us through the steps, along with participants Makeda and Cadija.
