The Dyatlov Pass incident is the mysterious death of nine skiers in the north of the Ural Mountains on February 2, 1959. All of them were experienced tourists from the Ural Polytechnic Institute.On January 31, the Dyatlovites approached the Kholatchakhl Mountain, at that time better known as «height 1079», and tried to climb the slope, but due to the unsuitability of the treeless area reached for setting up camp, evening time and strong wind, they were forced to descend again to the Auspiya valley and spend the night there.On February 1, the group, having set up a camp in the Auspiya Valley, again climbed the slope of Mount Holatchakhl, where they stopped to set up camp and put up a tent near the unnamed pass.At night, something unknown forced them to break out of their tents from the inside and flee the camp almost naked, in heavy snowfall and frost.On February 26, the bodies of the missing skiers were found about 1.5 km northeast of the tent. All of them died under very mysterious circumstances.Their deaths are still a mystery...
