The Soviet War Memorial in Berlin's Treptow district is the largest World War II memorial in Germany. It commemorates the Soviet soldiers who fought to liberate Germany from Nazi rule..Build between 1946 and 1949 it has been the central location to honor the Red Army in Eastern and Unified Germany but has stirred some controversy, especially since Russia started the war against Ukraine.
