The melody is “Mot menueya so auzes dire” by the Monge de Montaudon, a monk who wrote music and who received a sparrow hawk as a prize for his poetry. In Italy his poetic style "enueg" was appreciated and imitated by Gherardo Patecchio, whose verses are here recited with the accompaniment of the portative organ.
It follows a poem by Rinaldo d'Aquino that the ensemble Murmur Mori set to music. Frames from the concert "Canzoneta, va! - the connection between Provençal and Italian poetry in the 12th and 13th centuries" held at Noirlac Abbey.
