Bonus: My simplified version of Bang Bang Shrimp Recipe
**Ingredients**
**For the Shrimp:**
* 300g raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
* ½ tsp salt
* ½ tsp black pepper
* ½ tsp chili flakes
* 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
* ½ cup corn flour (cornstarch)
* Oil spray (for air frying)
**For the Bang Bang Sauce:**
* 3 tbsp mayonnaise
* 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
* 1½ tbsp sweet Thai chili sauce
* 1 tsp maple syrup (or honey)
* 1 tsp lemon juice
**Instructions**
1. **Marinate the Shrimp:**
* In a bowl, mix shrimp with salt, pepper, chili flakes, and minced garlic.
* Let it sit for 10–15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
2. **Coat the Shrimp:**
* Toss the marinated shrimp in corn flour until evenly coated. Shake off any excess.
3. **Air Fry the Shrimp:**
* Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (390°F) for 3 minutes.
* Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with oil.
* Air fry at 200°C (390°F) for 8–10 minutes or until golden and crispy, shaking halfway.
4. **Make the Bang Bang Sauce:**
* In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Sriracha, sweet chili sauce, maple syrup, and lemon juice until smooth.
5. **Combine:**
* Add the cooked shrimp to the sauce and toss until well coated.
6. **Serve:**
Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired. Great with lettuce cups, over rice, or as an appetizer.
