
In this video,Two workers stand on an aerial platform lifted by a large helium balloon in a pine forest. The platform has safety railings and is suspended high in the treetops.
One worker controls the platform's position using a handheld device. The other worker picks pine cones (called "song ta" in Chinese) directly by hand from the tree branches.
Steel cables connect the platform to the balloon. A motor with fans helps steer the system.
This setup allows safe harvesting of pine cones at the top of trees in Northeast China, replacing dangerous climbing methods.
