At the 2021 FIG World Gymnastics Championships, COVID-19 restrictions were tight. In the qualification round, a competitor tested positive for the virus, causing all gymnasts following him to have to wait 90 minutes while equipment was sanitized. What followed was a series of falls, including the one by William Emard in the video. Unfortunate situation all around.
