This drum instrumental is a Synth Jazz inspired​ collaboration featuring pianist Owen Adams from Bowie, MD and drummer Donnie Bell from Dallas, TX.

ℹ︎ This synthesizer instrumental has a tempo set to 130bpm. The drum track opens up with a (4+4½)/4 mixed meter using the kick, snare, floor tom, and hi-hat. At the B section, the #drums perform another mixed meter, this time in (7+8)/8 using linear time playing between the kick, snare, and hi-hat. The C section in 4/4 builds into the D section which is in double time, setting the foundation for some impressive improvisation on the synthesizer.
