I have the impression that some contemporary music sub-genres of trap and drill are going to be similar to the early 10s dubstep / brostep. I'm not a real fan of all thse genres but i like the idea to make music using heavy synthetized basslines and minimal syncopated drum beats. I made this "bass based" jam using the synth engine of my new Hacktribe, the unofficial firmware update for Korg Electribe 2s, in order to get heavy distorted FM bass growls, precise synthetized drums (except for the snare top made with a sample of clanging keys sampled directly on the groovebox using a Zoom H1n condenser microphone) and transparent addictive keys. The performance is completed by the feedback fx of the Korg Kaossilator Mk1. Enjoy!
