Nadia is back home for a week. So that means: more animals...Apart from me trying to continue with the re-build of our property it is also the time to step back and live a little. Finally I am making use of our fire pit and Nadia and I spend a lot of time relaxing and working on the interior of the little house.
We do remove a lot of debris from the first floor of the big house and remove a separation wall. Now I can continue opening the exterior wall without falling over all sorts of rubbish covering the floors.
As we have recently confirmed that the two chickens we have left (after Muffins passed) are in fact cockerels, we decided on bringing in some female companionship. We want to give our birds the best life we can. The Pekin-Bantam roosters will settle for 2 hens each we're advised so we bought 4 young hens. In order to accommodate all 6 we've turned our pre-fab coop into a large nighttime accommodation. During the day they're out and about.
Not so much building this episode, probably more next week.
