This month, five towns in the state of Vermont voted to adopt the Apartheid-Free Communities Pledge, which commits them “to end all support to Israel’s apartheid regime, settler-colonialism and military occupation.”

Activists hope this success will be repeated across the United States and in other countries. We speak to Wafic Faour of Vermonters for Justice in Palestine and Zoe Jannuzi of the American Friends Service Committee, to talk about the growing movement for Apartheid-Free Communities.

This is a segment from The Electronic Intifada's livestream on day 54 of the Gaza ceasefire. Ali Abunimah, Nora Barrows-Friedman, Jon Elmer and Asa Winstanley were joined by Zena Tahhan, a journalist based in Jerusalem, and Wafic Faour and Zoe Jannuzi, who are involved in the Apartheid-Free Communities campaign.
