A Morris car drives through green countryside. Large Iron Ore works as raw material is excavated and loaded onto railway trucks. Small train takes the ore to the blast furnaces. Trucks arrive at large factory site. Pan down an enormous furnace as molten iron pours out the base. Dramatic shots of men and molten ore. The iron is poured into moulds (pigs).
A cylinder block cut in half to demonstrate the interior workings, completed water jacket core is filled with sand to produce the various shapes. These are placed under a hydraulic ram to make sure the sand is tightly packed, and forms a solid core. The sand cores of the inner crank case are then placed in a baking oven.
