The Netherlands had been ahead of the time, which led to some outstanding outcomes. After the wave of Indonesian Surf & Instro groups in the NL, a very peculiar sound formed. Similar to the US, Surf led to Garage, the UK delivered the Beatinfluences and Psychedelia drenched everything into acid some years later. Nederbeat captures a sound, that otherwise remained a rarity with the garage/beat-intermixing songs of the Stones or the early Byrds f.e.
